Daily, Weekly or Monthly? How to Plan Equipment Rental and Save

Two customers can rent the same machine and pay very different amounts. The difference usually comes down to choosing daily, weekly or monthly equipment rental, plus transport and how well the job was planned. Here is how rental pricing works and how to get the best value.
What affects your rental quote
- Machine type and size: a 56m boom lift costs more than a 6m scissor lift.
- Rental period: daily, weekly or monthly.
- Transport: delivery and collection depend on distance, machine size and site access.
- Operator: whether you need one from us.
- Site conditions: night work, restricted access or special requirements.
Daily, weekly or monthly equipment rental: which period?

The longer the rental, the lower the effective daily rate. If a job might run past four or five days, ask for a weekly price; if it might run past three weeks, ask for monthly. Five ways to save
- Get the right machine first time. A second delivery costs more than any discount. Send us the working height, load and a site photo. Our free site surveys can help on bigger jobs.
- Book early. Popular sizes go fast, especially at month-end and before festive shutdowns.
- Combine machines. If you need a scissor lift and a forklift on the same site, one delivery can be cheaper.
- Plan off-hire dates. Tell us when you’re done so the machine isn’t sitting idle on your bill.
- Consider buying. If you need a machine most months of the year, ask about new or reconditioned units for sale.
